Due to recent major investments, Oil & Gas Systems Limited is recruiting for proven engineers to join their talented and experienced team, at an exciting time in the organisation’s expansion and development.
Oil & Gas Systems designs and supplies custom-built process & metering packages, carrying out manufacture and assembly at our two European facilities. Our customers are predominantly in the oil and gas production, exploration and power generation industries worldwide.
The successful applicants will be confident and pro-active with competence in the field. We’re looking for strong team players with excellent communication skills: you will need to work well within our multi-discipline structure, undertaking process, mechanical and E&I design, as well as liasing directly with suppliers and customers. Candidates will preferably have an engineering or science degree and experience in the oil, gas or power industries. Computer literacy is essential, as is a willingness to undertake some international travel.

Project Manager
We are looking for Senior Project Managers to head our Process and Metering Project Teams. Duties will include the following:
- To be the primary interface with the Customer for both engineering and commercial matters, providing technical and business solutions to problems that arise and maintaining accurate records of all communications.
- Initiate, co-ordinate and lead project activities within the project team to assure the integrity of the developed package, overseeing the engineering interfaces between the individual project elements, the objective being the completion of a high quality package, produced on time, within budget and achieving customer satisfaction.
- Preparing Production Schedules and driving the completion of all engineering activities to ensure that design drawings & documents are submitted on a timely basis and that manufacturing programmes are effectively monitored.
- Managing the commercial aspects of the project, including change control and determining any commercial implications resulting from modifications or additions to scope.
- Ensuring that the budget is controlled by conducting negotiations with selected bidders, making sure that the customer is invoiced correctly, verifying and approving supplier invoices, regularly reviewing costs and reporting outstanding payments or potential budget variations to management.
- Liasing with Quality personnel to ensure that proposed manufacturers are audited to prove sub-contract capabilities and that inspections are co-ordinated effectively in accordance with approved Quality Plans.
- Ensuring that all appropriate customer specifications, relevant international regulations, local rules, company standards, best industry practice, and Health, Safety & Environmental considerations are applied and adhered to.
It is expected that applicants will be articulate with good organisational skills and be used to working within a fast moving production environment with typical contract values of between £1m and £10m.
Project Engineer
We are looking for Project Engineers to join our Process and Metering Project Teams. Duties will include the following:
- To interface with the Project Manager for both engineering and commercial matters, providing technical assistance to problems that arise, preparing progress reports and maintaining accurate records of all communications.
- Assisting with project activities to assure the integrity of the developed package, liaising between the engineering interfaces, the objective being the completion of a high quality package produced on time, within budget and with a satisfied customer.
- Attendance at key meetings such as the handover from Sales to Projects and the holding of technical reviews to define the scope, identify quality issues, and determine detailed design requirements.
- Assisting with the preparation of Production Schedules and supporting the completion of all engineering activities to ensure that design drawings and documents are submitted on a timely basis and that manufacturing programmes are effectively monitored.
- Assisting with commercial aspects of the project, including change control and reviewing the contract to determine commercial implications resulting from modifications or additions to scope.
- Ensuring that the budget is controlled by conducting negotiations with selected bidders, making sure that the customer is invoiced correctly, verifying and approving supplier invoices, regularly reviewing costs and reporting outstanding payments or potential budget variations to the Project Manager.

The successful candidate is likely to have a good degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.
