Separation

There are many designs of two phase separators available. The choice is dependent on several factors including:

  • The liquid loading of the gas
  • The physical properties of the liquid and gas
  • Gas throughput

Vessels are built to any recognised construction codes and special standards, e.g. PD5500, ASME, GOST and NACE.

The mist extractor systems most commonly used by OGS are maintenance free vane packs, wire mesh or multi-cyclones. The latter have the advantage of removing both liquids and solids. The choice of system will depend on the overall flow scheme employed, the properties of the feed gas and economics.

Liquid level control systems are designed to suit process parameters and customer requirements.
Products - Separation

Units can be supplied in horizontal or vertical configuration, skid mounted or free standing, with integral or separate liquid sumps and with simple internals (e.g. inlet deflectors) or multiple internals (deflectors, slug breakers, straightening plates, mist extractors, wave baffles etc).

Construction materials include carbon steel, stainless steel and corrosion resistant alloys.
