Gas Filtration & Conditioning

High efficiency filtration is available based on the use of a depth type filtration media. Filter elements consist of cylindrical fibreglass tubes supported on a perforated steel core and shrouded internally with a special filtration cloth.

Differential pressure across clean elements is typically <0.1 bar. Elements are usually replaced when differential pressure reaches approximately 1 bar.

As gas enters the unit, flow is distributed by the filter element support tubes. The support tubes also serve to absorb the impact of impurities carried in the gas. Gas flows from the outside of the elements to the inside, passing through the element support tubes and tube plate into the outlet compartment. Solids are collected on the outside of the filter elements, with finer particles trapped within the matrix of the special fibreglass filtration media.

Both vertical and horizontal configurations are available with vertical units used when available plot areas are limited.

Quick and easy removal and replacement of filter elements can be achieved via optional quick opening closures.

Vessels are built to any recognised construction codes and special standards, e.g. PD550, ASME, GOST, NACE etc.

Units can be supplied as skid mounted packages complete with valves, piping and instrumentation.

Products - Gas Filtration & Conditioning

Most users of fuel gas require gas that is free of liquids and solids. This is particularly critical in gas turbine applications where severe damage may be caused to the turbine if the gas is not ultra clean and dry. Metered fuel gas is normally required at a steady operating pressure and at a safe margin above dew point.

Materials of construction include carbon steel, stainless steel and corrosion resistant alloys.
